Visual Music Synth is a programming library built in Processing. It was developed during an in-school project at the Tellkampf School in hannover, germany in 2013, as a part of the Musik 21 Project "Synaesthetische Perspektiven".
The basic element of the library is the VideoEvent: A simple, single graphic object which can have colors, positions, sizes etc. Single VideoEvents or groups of VideoEvents can be created, copied, manipulated with a large variety of methods.
Currently, the library is extended to enable the parallel processing of heterogenous groups of different event-classes – even event-classes which will trigger sounds or hybrid events which will do both, graphics and audio.
